How it works

Rent equipment. Or rent out yours.

Rental Stride has three kinds of account: Renters, who book equipment; Owners, who list the equipment they own; and Partners — the companies that bring their owners onto the platform. Owners who don't work with a partner company can partner with Rental Stride directly instead.

For renters

Step 1

Find the right equipment

Filter by type, city and specs. Every listing shows the daily rate, the measurements that matter for that kind of equipment, and availability.

Step 2

Request your dates

Pick your pick-up and return dates and times, review the rental contract, then submit a request.

Step 3

Owner confirms

The owner reviews your request and confirms or cancels it. You will get an in-app notification as soon as they act.

Step 4

Pick it up

Once confirmed, arrange the final hand-off details directly with the owner through your dashboard.

For equipment owners

Route 1

Invited by a partner company

If you already work with a leasing company, dealer or rental yard that partners with us, they send you an invite. Their subscription covers your account — there's nothing for you to pay.

Route 2

Rental Stride Direct

No partner company? Rental Stride becomes your partner for a small membership fee. Tell us about your equipment and we'll come back with pricing built around it.

Partner with us directly

Step 1

Get an owner account

Either a partner company invites you with a single-use link, or you apply to Rental Stride Direct and we partner with you ourselves.

Step 2

List your equipment

Trucks, vans, trailers, cars, heavy equipment, machinery — add photos, specs, daily rate, location and availability. We only ask for the specs that apply to what you're listing.

Step 3

Manage requests

Booking requests land in your dashboard. Confirm the ones that fit your schedule and decline the rest.

Step 4

Coordinate hand-off

Once confirmed, message the renter through the platform to arrange pick-up and return.

Step 5

Get paid directly

Connect your own Stripe account. After you confirm, the renter pays online and the money goes straight to you — Rental Stride takes no cut of rental payments.

For partner companies

Step 1

Apply to partner

Leasing companies, dealers and rental yards apply on the Partnering page. Rental Stride reviews and activates the account.

Step 2

Invite your owners

From the partner console you send secure invites to the equipment owners you work with — each link works once and expires in 7 days.

Step 3

Watch the listings come online

See every owner you've onboarded, how much equipment they've listed and whether their payouts are ready.
